SHIELD

Azure, an anchor cabled Or superimposed by two lightning flashes chevronwise reversed Argent; on a chief wavy Gules fimbriated of the third, a stylized albatross of the like garnished Sable.


CREST

From a wreath Argent and Azure, a life ring Proper surmounted by a set of scales Sable, superimposed in base by two keys saltirewise Argent (Silver Gray).


MOTTO

A tripartite scroll Azure edged Argent doubled Gules, inscribed "PERFORMANCE, PEOPLE, PARTNERSHIP" Argent.


SEAL

The coat of arms as blazoned in full color on a white disc enclosed within a Dark Blue border edged on the outer side with a Gold rope inscribed "INTEGRATED DEEPWATER SYSTEM" above and USCG" below in gold.

Symbolism

SHIELD

Red, white and blue, the national colors, are also traditionally used by the Coast Guard.The anchor suggests Deepwater's maritime mission inland, coastal and deepwater.The anchor and chain denote depth, strength and total readiness of the program. Gold refers to excellence and honor; the Coast Guard's core values.  The lightning flashes highlight Deepwater's technology, C4ISR, which allows the aircrafts and ships to surveil, identify and communicate effectively.The albatross, adapted from Deepwater System logo, is a symbol of "good luck" to seafarers. It alludes to Deepwater's worldwide challenge of national defense, during peacetime and military confrontation. Red signifies zeal and action.


CREST

The life ring symbolizes the search and rescue mission.The trident, a symbol of sea prowess, represents Deepwater System's maritime safety and law enforcement mission. The keys refer to the logistical support for Deepwater System's operational effectiveness.
